Day Five: Billings, Montana

We woke up in Fort Collins, Colorado, got our showers, said our goodbyes then hit the road. It only took us about an hour to get out of Colorado. Wyoming sucks. The sights are pretty cool, but the people are rude. Everywhere we stopped, I got mean-mugged by at least one person. Whatever. It rained the whole time we were in Wyoming. Adam says I can't even drive when it's not raining, so he drove mostly all day. We crossed over into Montana as the rain was starting to clear up. We found an old Walmart to get a few groceries. There's nothing in Jacksonville that I can compare it to... but you can imagine, if there was a 20 year old Walmart off of Moncrief, that's what it would be like. The pharmacy was in the middle of the store and built out of plywood. I had no idea there were so many Native Americans in Montana. I felt like I was on Bonanza. Turns out, just below Billings is one of the world's largest Indian reserves. We drove for a few hours longer, then found a KOA in the city of Billings. This just so happened to be the first ever KOA. They now have over 700 locations. Wow!

There were a few RVs at the campground, but no one in tents.

The trees were pretty cool, and we set up our tent next to the river with a view of the mountains.

They had a put put course.

We set up our tent and went for a short bike ride before bed. I cut my finger with Adam's pocket knife on accident. Oops.

Until tomorrow,
Lindsey and Adam
