The result of sleeping in the car is always being tired all day the next day. Luckily, there were beautiful sights to see, being surrounded by mountains and frozen lakes at all times driving through British Columbia on the Alaskan Highway.
We saw a lot of wildlife, which kept us on the constant lookout. I slowed down/ stopped for quite an array of animals along the highway...
A few black bears.
A few caribou/ reindeer
We saw three moose, but only got a shot of the baby.
Quite a few sheep.
Some wood bison.
Some elk (which are not pictured because Adam was sleeping and not operating the camera)
We also saw a chipmunk, a beaver, a skunk, an owl hawk, magpies and a few others not pictured... They were too fast for us.
We stopped for a picnic lunch at Mucho Lake. It was really cool having lunch together 30 feet away from a frozen lake, surrounded by mountains.
We stopped at a few pull-off areas along the way.
I am definitely not a landscape photographer, but I liked this shot:
A majority of are photos are taken with a small Sony optical zoom camera I've had for a few years, through the windshield. Haha. We went over a few bridges. They all looked the same, but were still pretty cool. The only part I didn't like about them was the fact that they were entirely metal grate, which does not mix well with ice.
We crossed over into British Columbia
and checked out the "Sign Post Forrest," which is supposed to be "famous" or something. I found it slightly obnoxious. We took some photos and left before I started taking everything down and organizing the signs.
After driving for a few more hours, we pulled over at a rest area for yet another night of sleeping in the car.

The scenery is AMAZING! You seriously need a lookout driver to make sure you don't drive off a cliff swerving around an animal. Tell Adam there is no sleeping allowed. lol
ReplyDeleteAdam's corpse lies lifeless, where X marks the spot,
In the front seat of Lindsey's Versa...
Where X marks the spot
Sorry, couldn't resist. hehehehe
Hope tonight's rest is better for you two <3
Hahahahahahaha. Adam doesn't listen to Chiodos, so every time I'd sing, "shredded by state lines," he looked at me like I was an idiot. I even had to wait until he was sleeping to listen to AAR.
